In a now-deleted post on X, a woman asked for help from netizens in separating a pair of dogs ‘stuck together’. It went viral before it was taken down with 1.2 million views. The viral video which was 1 minute and 19 seconds long showed a pair of dogs ‘stuck together’ which drew concern from the woman who begged netizens to bring the dogs to the veterinarian to separate them both and hopefully put an end to their alleged suffering.
She wrote the following in Malay but for the purpose of this article shall be translated to English, "Weh you all! Help solve this problem suffered by the dogs. I pity them!! They were not ‘stuck together’ yesterday. PLEASEEEEEE HELPPP!!! Please bring them to the vet, I am afraid of dogs so I can't help. Anyone 🙏😭

The post sparked laughter from netizens with many laughing at how innocent she was. In case you don't know, the reason the dogs were stuck together was due to their mating. During mating and after the male dog's penis is fully inside the female dog's vagina, a part of the male dog's penis called the bulbus glandis swells with blood. When the female's vagina subsequently contracts, the penis becomes locked inside her. This is known as “knotting” or “tying” - it is completely normal for dogs. The purpose of “knotting” is to ensure successful insemination by preventing the male from prematurely withdrawing; this allows the sperm ample time to be delivered and retained within the female’s reproductive tract. The duration of “knotting" varies - it can last from as little as a few minutes to as many as an hour. ”Knotting" shouldn't draw concern as it is completely normal for dogs to do so.
Seeing how her post went viral for the wrong reasons and how it drew laughter, it is understandable why the woman later deleted her post on X.
