Yesterday, Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar advised the public against holding rallies or demonstrations over Rocky’s death.

PETALING JAYA: A woman believed to be the owner of a dog named “Rocky” will be charged at the Sessions Court here today, following the controversy surrounding the operation to capture stray dogs that sparked public outrage.

The woman, in her 40s, is expected to face several charges in two separate courts.

According to the judiciary’s court system, charges against both individuals are scheduled to be read at 9am before Judge Mujib Saroji.

The woman is also expected to face additional charges before Magistrate A Karthiyayini.

However, the specific sections and Acts under which both individuals will be charged have yet to be confirmed, as the charges will only be determined and read out in court.

Rocky died during an enforcement operation in Taman Teluk Gedong Indah, Port Klang, last month.

Yesterday, Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar advised the public against holding rallies or demonstrations over Rocky’s death.

On Monday, lawyers Muhammad Rafique Rashid Ali and Mahmud Abdul Jumaat said their client, Muhammad Shah Idham Nor Haikal Shaharom, 24, had been served a summons by a Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) officer to appear in court at 9am today.

Last week, Shah denied abusing or killing Rocky during an operation at Taman Telok Gedong Indah on July 29.
