
TAWAU: A two-storey home was destroyed in a pre-dawn blaze at Kampung Rawa-Rawa, Batu 4 Tawau, leaving three residents injured as they attempted to escape the flames.
The Fire and Rescue Department received the emergency call at 6.01 am and arrived at the scene within nine minutes. The house was already engulfed by the time firefighters began operations.
A 53-year-old woman suffered burns to the soles of her feet, while a 41-year-old woman was injured on her upper lip and also lost a tooth. A 19-year-old man sustained minor injuries to his foot.

The fire was brought under control by 6.51 am and fully extinguished by 8.27 am.
