A photo taken inside the KLIA Transit train has sparked criticism online after a woman called out what she described as unhygienic behaviour by fellow passengers.

In a Threads post, amira_abdullahh shared a photo of a two travellers seated opposite her with their bags placed around the seats, while one of them appeared to have their bare feet resting on the train seat.

In the photo, one of the traveller had placed her shoes on the train seat.

Expressing her frustration, she wrote: “Now I know why the KLIA Transit train smells. They put their feet up and even place their shoes on the seats.

“I already told them off, but maybe they don’t understand English.”

The picture has since sparked hundreds of comments from frustrated Malaysian netizens.

Several commenters said authorities should take action to ensure passengers follow basic hygiene and courtesy rules.

One user wrote:

“KLIA Transit management should do something about this. They should monitor this because it affects the image of our country.”

Another commenter agreed, saying such behaviour should not be tolerated.

“Agreed! We don’t tolerate ugly behaviour that is unhygienic.”
