Woman dies after allegedly receiving traditional treatment

KUALA LUMPUR – A woman died after allegedly receiving traditional treatment at a house in Pandan Perdana here, yesterday.

Ampang Jaya Police chief Mohamad Farouk Eshak in a statement said the 41-year-old woman was said to have fallen unconscious in the living room of the house after the treatment.

“Police received the distress call about the incident at 6.35pm and the victim was pronounced dead by the paramedics.

“Following that, the traditional medicine practitioner, a 51-year-old woman, was detained to facilitate further investigations,” he said.

Farouk said an initial investigation found that the victim had frequented the house over the past week. – Bernama, July 28, 2022
