A WOMAN was killed and two others, including a young girl, injured after the car they were travelling in reportedly lost control and overturned at Kilometer 44.2 of the Kuala Lumpur–Karak (KLK) Highway near Genting Sempah, Bentong on Sunday.

Zulfadli Zakaria, Public Relations Officer of the Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), said emergency services received a call at 8.04 a.m.

“Upon receiving the report, a team of officers and personnel from the Bentong Fire and Rescue Station proceeded to the scene, approximately 30 kilometres from the station, to carry out rescue operations,” he said.

He added that the Perodua Bezza vehicle involved had overturned, trapping three occupants. “The fire team immediately assisted in extricating the victims using rescue equipment. However, one of the occupants was confirmed dead by medical personnel,” Zulfadli said.

The injured were transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance, while the deceased was handed over to police for further action. - November 9, 2025
