Kota Kinabalu: Police are investigating the death of a 57-year-old woman whose body was found at the Tower A car park area of the 1Borneo building around 6am on Friday.
City police chief ACP Shahrudin Mat Husain said a team of officers and personnel from the City police headquarters, along with forensics officers from the Sabah Police Headquarters Crime Investigation Department (CID), were dispatched to the scene.
Preliminary investigations suggest the victim fell from a residential unit on the 12th floor of the building, with initial scene inspections revealing no criminal elements.
The victim’s body has been sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Forensic Department for an autopsy, and the case has been classified as sudden death.
Shahrudin advised the public against speculating or sharing images and videos of the incident to protect the victim's family's privacy and avoid disruption to the investigation.
