Woman found dead at Perdana Botanical Garden left behind note: police

KUALA LUMPUR – The woman who was fished out of a Perdana Botanical Garden lake here this morning was found with a note with contact numbers of her family members.

Police said in a statement that the 68-year-old, with an address in Bangsar, also left behind a letter to her child before she went out at 6am.

Dang Wangi police chief Noor Dellhan Yahaya said her family members have been contacted and were at the scene to help with the investigation.

Police also found her slippers and an umbrella.

The case is now classified as sudden death, and the body has been sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post-mortem.

At 9am, the Dang Wangi control centre received a call from a member of the public saying there was a body in the lake.

The KL Fire and Rescue Department was called in to help remove the body some 3m from the banks of the lake. – The Vibes, August 20, 2022
