MELAKA: A 27-year-old Thai woman tried to escape authorities by leaping from a third-floor window at a budget hotel.
But her efforts were to no avail, as she was eventually detained by the immigration officers from Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM), in the middle of an operation called “Op Gegar”.
JIM shared on its official Facebook page a photo of the woman making her way through an alleyway behind a hotel at 6pm on Monday (Nov 6) before she was arrested.
The woman was reported to not sustain any type of injuries.
Eight Thai nationals, two Indonesians, one Vietnamese, and one Laotian, all aged between 25 and 35 years old, were among those arrested.
