A 22-year-old woman was killed and seven others were injured when a car fell into a gorge near Nolta village in Pinjore on Tuesday morning. The injured persons included six women. The driver of the car also sustained injuries in the incident.
The police said the victims were employees of a private firm in Parwanoo and were going to work when the accident took place. Preliminary investigation revealed that the car driver had lost control over the vehicle, resulting in the mishap.
The victims were rescued and shifted to the Sector 6 Civil Hospital in Panchkula. The police are questioning the car driver.
