Kota Kinabalu: The body of a woman found floating in waters off Gaya Island here has yet to be claimed, according to the reports.
The body was reportedly discovered in waters near Kampung Kesuapan, Gaya Island, prompting authorities to launch an investigation into the case.
Initial checks found that the victim had no identification documents, making it difficult for authorities to determine her identity.
The body was later taken to hospital for further examination while police continue efforts to trace the victim’s next of kin.
