PITAS: The body of a woman was found trapped among branches near the Sungai Nibang bridge here and later retrieved by firefighters before being handed over to the police.
Five personnel led by PBK I Gabuh Maradan, along with a fire engine, were dispatched to the scene about 34km away after receiving a call from police at 7.21am on Thursday.
The team used ropes to bring the victim’s body up from the riverbank, before handing it over to the police for further action. The woman’s identity has yet to be determined.
