KINABATANGAN: The partial body of a woman who disappeared after being attacked by a crocodile in Kg Tanjung Bluat was discovered, Sunday.

Norsila Sayong, 32, was found without her legs and arms at 6.54am by rescue teams and locals some 800 metres from where she was last seen, according to

Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station Chief Nurul Azlan Shah (pic).

She and family members went fishing at the riverbank adjacent to the Kinabatangan River on Saturday afternoon.

Residents frequently fish at the site during high tide.

A distress all at 3.42pm sent firefighters to the site. The body has been handed over to police for further action.

Crocodile attacks are a common in Kinabatangan.

In May this year, a man was killed by a crocodile at Sungai Pin Kinabatangan.

In 2019 an eight-year-old boy was attacked by a crocodile at Sungai Kinabatangan.
