Kota Kinabalu: The Women’s Leadership Academy (AKwan) set up by the Sabah Women Advisory Council (MPWS) in 2022 has yielded favourable outcomes to date and benefited at least 400 women in 2023.
MPWS Chairperson Datuk Dr Tarsiah TZ said based on the secretariat’s feedback, some participants have secured career opportunities, become braver to pursue politics, communicate effectively and improve leadership structures.
“Although the courses are short, I am confident and believe that if AKwan’s initiatives continue, it will form (women) leadership and strengthen the authority of women in Sabah.
