KUALA LUMPUR – Subang MP Wong Chen has questioned the continued restriction of access to the MyKhas Portal, which is administered by the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) under the Prime Minister’s Department (JPM), saying the blockage is now disrupting constituency-related work and public welfare projects.

He has also called on the Prime Minister’s Office to provide a written explanation if the restriction is politically motivated.

“If this “punishment” is politically motivated, I would like to request the Prime Minister’s Office to state so in writing, following which I shall seek the advice of my lawyers as to whether this constitutes an abuse of administrative power,” he said in a statement today.

Wong said access to the portal has remained blocked for more than a week, despite repeated official correspondence and hand-delivered letters sent to ICU JPM Selangor and its headquarters in Putrajaya.

“To date, ICU JPM has neither restored access nor provided any formal justification for the restriction,” he said in a statement.

He stressed that the matter was no longer a minor administrative issue, but one that was directly delaying Projek Mesra Rakyat (PMR) applications in the Subang constituency.

Among those affected are six schools, involving infrastructure repair works, repainting projects, science laboratory upgrades and general facility improvements. The schools are SJKC Chee Wen, SK Seksyen 2 Bandar Kinrara, SK Puchong Jaya 2, SJKT Castlefield, SK USJ 12 and SK Subang Jaya. A Tabika Kemas in USJ 1 is also affected.

“All these are schools serving ordinary Malaysian families whose applications are now delayed,” he said.

He added that PMR applications for low-income housing communities, including Pangsapuri Angsana USJ 1 and Pangsapuri Melur Taman Bukit Kinrara, were also unable to proceed due to the restriction.

Wong further said two Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti (PDK) centres — PDK Cahaya Kasih in SS15 and PDK Wawasan in Puchong Jaya — have been affected, delaying planned sensory room projects for autistic children and persons with disabilities.

“These initiatives are now delayed because access to the portal remains blocked,” he said.

He also noted that several federal agencies in Subang, including fire and rescue stations, police headquarters and welfare offices, have been impacted. According to him, the delays could affect emergency response readiness, public safety programmes and welfare assistance for vulnerable groups.

Religious institutions were similarly affected, including Surau Al-Mukminin in PJS 9 and Kuil Sri Subramaniar in PJS 7, which are unable to proceed with repair and upgrade works under PMR allocations.

“The delay in repair works not only affects the comfort and safety of congregants, but also disrupts the broader community functions carried out by the surau and temple,” he said.

Wong described the lack of response from the authorities as “deeply disappointing”, adding that his office has consistently managed government allocations with transparency.

“For more than a decade, we have also publicly published our community allocations and expenditures every six months in line with our commitment to transparency and accountability,” he said.

He added that his office would continue to find alternative ways to submit applications should access remain restricted.

Wong also stressed that government systems must operate fairly and not be used in a way that disadvantages elected representatives in carrying out constituency duties.

“Government administrative systems and allocations exist to serve the rakyat, not to selectively disadvantage elected representatives carrying out their responsibilities to their constituents,” he said.

Earlier, Wong claimed that his parliamentary office was blocked from accessing the MyKhas Portal, saying the disruption had affected the submission of constituency funding applications.

“This service disruption was discovered on Wednesday, 20th May 2026, at 12:00 PM, when my officer attempted to upload several PMR funding applications for schools within the Subang parliamentary constituency.” — May 29, 2026
