Works Ministry hopes new SK Kunak Jaya can be completed ahead of time

KUNAK: The Works Ministry has reminded the contractor handling the new SK Kunak Jaya project to complete construction according to schedule.

Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said the project, currently at 18 per cent physical progress, must meet all specifications, cost limits and timelines.

He expressed hope that the RM24.29 million project might even be completed ahead of time during his visit to the site on Wednesday.

The main contractor, Merak Sutra Sdn Bhd, is carrying out the project under the close supervision of the Public Works Department and its Special Project Team 2, with the Ministry confident the new facility will benefit over 500 pupils and school staff in Kunak.
