KUALA LUMPUR – Ten cars and five high-powered motorcycles were destroyed in an early morning fire at the Kedah police contingent headquarters’ workshop.
Kedah Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Mohamadul Ehsan Mohd Zain said they received an emergency call at 4.53am today and teams from the Alor Star and Jalan Raja stations were deployed.
He added that volunteer firefighters from Jalan Kundor and Seberang Nyonya were also at the scene.
“We found that 80% of the workshop building was destroyed. Based on the information we received, 10 vehicles and five high-powered motorcycles were burnt,” he was quoted as saying by Berita Harian.
So far, he said no casualties were reported and the cause of the fire is being investigated. – The Vibes, September 12, 2022
