- German shipyard Meyer Werft has unveiled "Project Vision," a concept for the world's first 100 per cent battery-powered cruise ship.
- The proposed vessel, measuring 275 metres and accommodating 1,856 passengers, could be delivered by 2031 if ordered this year.
- Powered by a battery system from Norway's Corvus Energy, the ship is designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 95 per cent.
