Famous trans entrepreneur and social media influencer, Nur Sajat Kamarulzaman swear upon her parent's name, that her act of wearing a female outfit prayer (telekung) during her umrah 3 years ago was authorized by authority.
Sajat, who was originally born as a male, has finally confessed about it, after years of speculation as reported by Astro Awani last year.
Sajat's action of performing umrah as a woman has raised anger among Muslim netizens as they had seen it as an issue of disrespecting the holy land and Islamic conduct.
According to mStar, she just revealed in her life session that she has to cover up just like a Muslim woman during her time there, as it was ordered by Saudi Arabia's authority.
" I swear, Lilahita'ala, that I have to wear like that in Mecca. As I arrived at the immigration, they asked me to wear the hijab and pray using telekung. ", says Sajat.
Sajat stated that statement after she was asked by her followers during a live session in TikTok.
Sajat also swore upon her parent's life, that if she truly lied about this issue.
"Lilahita'ala, I swear, Lilahita'ala, if I'm lying about this, my parents will die," add Sajat.
Previously, her trip to the Holy Land three years ago had been a hot topic among netizens, as her photo of wearing a white robe, and denim jacket with no hijab in KLIA went viral.
However, the photo of Sajat wearing a hijab on the plane raised concerns among netizens.
Sajat also wears a full white praying set while performing umrah, which is against the clothing conduct regulation for male Muslims, who were supposed to be in ihram state and not covering their chest, especially during tawaf (the rotation in front of Kaabah).
Due to mental health issues, Sajat has decided to move to Australia, leaving her family, kids, and business empire.
Sajat was also registered under the UNCHR refugee program as she was hunted by Malaysia Police Force for the case of identity forgery, due to illegal gender change.
