PAPAR: An exploded bomb from the World War II ear was successfully destroyed by the police bomb disposal unit at 2.00pm in Lok Kawi, here, Wednesday.

The remnant was found by workers at about 1.30pm on Tuesday afternoon at a construction site in the industrial area which was immediately reported to the Kinarut Police Station.

Advertisement (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});District Police Chief Superintendent Kamaruddin Ambo Sakka said the bomb was found when construction workers were digging the ground using an excavator.

“The detonation process was carried out from 10.30am to 2.00pm. The process (to detonate the bomb) was carried out repeatedly as per procedures," he said.
