Arsenal defender Rob Holding says he uses Arsene Wenger's "apology" about him as motivation at Arsenal.
Holding moved to north London from Bolton for around 2million in the 2016 summer transfer window - having only previously played in the Championship.
"Unfortunately no one speaks about the performance of Rob Holding," Wenger said at the time. "You should be happy, he is English and 20 years old.
"I am sorry he didn't cost 55 million, so he can't be good. We don't speak about the performances anymore and I think that is not right."
In a Reddit AMA, Holding revealed: "I enjoyed his response and I do use it as motivation that I am who I am and hard work will get me where I want to be."
