Tottenham will compete with Manchester United for the signature of Leicester City midfielder James Maddison.
Christan Eriksen looks set to leave Tottenham after refusing to sign a new contract, having made it clear during the summer that he wanted to find a new club, says the Daily Star.
The Danish midfielder is in the final year of his contract and so can leave for nothing next summer - meaning Spurs will likely look to cash in on him in the January transfer window.
And Leicester City ace Maddison , who has just been called up to Gareth Southgate's England squad, has been identified as the perfect replacement.
But Tottenham will face competition for the 22-year-old, who does not have a buy-out clause in his contract, with United believed to be confident of completing a 60m deal to take him to Old Trafford.
