Arsenal goalkeeper Emi Martinez was delighted with his first start of the season.
The backup keeper at the club started in their Europa League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt.
He managed a clean sheet in an impressive 3-0 away win.
And he spoke about the game, indicating that such nights are why he came back early for pre-season.
He said to the club's official website: "I had a really good second half of the season with Reading and I started pre-season really well.
"I came to pre-season training early to make sure I was ready for Arsenal. I had a good pre-season,
"I waited for my chance and when I got it the manager chose me in this difficult game away from home, and I just wanted to keep the clean sheet to make sure the back four is solid with me."
