XPENG has debuted the flagship Xpeng GX in China, marking its entry into the full-size SUV segment as the brand’s most premium offering to date.
The Xpeng GX is offered with two electrified powertrain options, which include a fully electric (BEV) version and a range-extended (REEV) variant, both positioned at the same starting price of 399,800 yuan (around RM 232,000).

In terms of size, the GX measures 5,265 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, 1,800 mm in height, with a 3,115 mm wheelbase. For reference, the fifth-gen long-wheelbase Range Rover has a length of 5,252 mm and a wheelbase of 3,197 mm.
The BEV version is built on an 800V architecture and offers up to 750 km of range (CLTC), along with fast charging capability. Meanwhile, the REEV variant pairs a 1.5-litre engine acting as a generator with dual electric motors, delivering up to 430 km of pure electric range and a combined range of up to 1,585 km.

Outputs vary depending on configuration, with dual-motor setups offering up to around 430 kW (585 PS) for the BEV, while the REEV variant delivers lower peak figures but prioritises extended range.
On the design front, the GX adopts a new language with a closed-off front grille, full-width lighting signature and a clean, upright stance. Flush door handles and a floating roof design further emphasise its modern, EV-focused styling.

Inside, the GX features a six-seat layout (2+2+2), with a strong focus on second-row comfort. The cabin includes a large 17.3-inch central display, ambient lighting, rear entertainment screen, and features such as massage seats, ventilation and heating.
Higher-end configurations also include a “zero-gravity” passenger seat, foldable tables, and a fully reclining third row.

The GX is also positioned as a tech flagship, with up to 3,000 TOPS of computing power for its intelligent driving system, supporting advanced driver assistance and future autonomous driving capability.
