In a prestigious ceremony held at Istana Negara in Kuala Lumpur, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, bestowed the Darjah Johan Mangku Negara (JMN) awards to prominent figures who have made remarkable contributions to the nation. Among the esteemed recipients were Datuk Ahmad Zaharin Mohd Saad, former Land and Mines Department director-general, and Datuk Mohd Nazrul Izam Mansor, the group chief executive officer of FGV Holdings Berhad.

The investiture ceremony took place on the occasion of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's official birthday, and it was graced by the presence of Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, adding further significance to the event.

Another distinguished honoree at the ceremony was Sjn Norihan Tari, a brave officer from the 3rd Battalion, General Operations Force (GOF), stationed in Bidor, Perak. He received the prestigious Darjah Panglima Gagah Berani (PGB) award for his exceptional bravery and dedication to duty.

Sjn Norihan's heroic act took place on November 24, 2020, during a routine patrol around the TS10 to TS9 area in Padang Besar, Perlis. Tragically, during the encounter, his fellow officer, Sjn Baharuddin Ramli, lost his life, and Norihan himself sustained severe injuries. Despite the adversity, Norihan's selfless sacrifice and bravery earned him the nation's highest recognition.

Among them, 11 individuals received the JMN awards, 13 were conferred with the Darjah Johan Setia Mahkota (JSM), and two received the Darjah Johan Setia Diraja (JSD). Additionally, 69 individuals were presented with the Darjah Kesatria Mangku Negara (KMN), and four others received the Kesatria Setia Diraja (KSD).

In a heartfelt expression of gratitude, Sjn Norihan Tari shared his appreciation for the recognition of his service to the country. His selfless dedication serves as an inspiration to all, exemplifying the values that the nation upholds and honours.

The investiture ceremony served not only as a celebration of individual achievements but also as a moment to reflect on the collective dedication of those who have contributed significantly to the prosperity and security of Malaysia. The recipients of these esteemed awards stand as role models for future generations, motivating them to serve their country with unwavering commitment and valour.
