Yayasan MR D.I.Y. has launched its first scholarship programme, providing a much-needed boost to Malaysians seeking financial assistance in their pursuit of further education.
The Yayasan MR D.I.Y. Scholarship Programme aims to support deserving undergraduates with strong academic, leadership, and community service records by easing their financial burdens.
The Foundation today announced its first two recipients, namely Cheong Wai Kee, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Tan Zhi Liang, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Accounting. Both are 4th semester and 2nd semester students at the Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman campus in Kampar, Perak.
Announcing the launch of the scholarship programme, Yayasan MR D.I.Y.'s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Zaleha Mohd Mydin said "At Yayasan MR D.I.Y., we believe in the transformative power of education, and we are committed to providing opportunities for promising students to realise their potential. This scholarship programme provides financial assistance to undergraduates who demonstrate exceptional academic prowess, leadership capabilities, and a profound dedication to community service. Cheong Wai Kee and Tan Zhi Liang have both demonstrated such admirable qualities, and we hope this recognition and support from Yayasan MR D.I.Y. will inspire more young Malaysians to strive for the same.
“We aim to make a positive impact on the lives of young Malaysians, empowering them to become leaders and change-makers who in turn make an impact on our country and communities for generations to come,” added Zaleha.
