SANDAKAN: Imprisonment is not a reason for severing family ties, said Sabah DAP Chairman cum Tanjung Papat Assemblyman Datuk Frankie Poon.
Poon said one of the opportunities to strengthen the relationship between inmates and their families was through festive celebration such as Hari Raya, Christmas or even Harvest Festival.
“The opportunity to gather with family on a festive day can motivate inmates to be the best version of themselves.
