SEVERAL high-profile legal cases made headlines in Kota Kinabalu. One of the most sensational trials was the ongoing corruption case involving former Sabah Water Department Director Ag Mohd Tahir Mohd Talib, his wife Fauziah Piut, and former Deputy Director Lim Lam Beng.
The case is into its eighth year and the Special Corruption Court ordered Ag Mohd Tahir, 62, Fauziah, 59, and Lim, 70, to enter their defences on multiple money laundering charges, on Dec 4.
AdvertisementJudge Abu Bakar Manat found that the prosecution had successfully established a prima facie case against them on all the charges.
Abu Bakar set Feb 26, 27, 28 and April 28, 29, 30 in 2015 for the defence’s case.
