Earlier, Malaysians online were quick to call out PAS after noticing a mistake on the “Himpunan Teguh Memimpin Terengganu (TMT) 2025” event poster.

PAS Terengganu later issued a public apology for the design fail, where the poster showed a Malaysian flag with an 11-point star instead of the correct 14-point one.

“We have no problem with handing over the person responsible”

In their apology, PAS blamed the flag blunder on a “technical error.” Despite releasing an updated logo with the correct elements of the national flag, the backlash didn’t stop, with critics including UMNO Youth Chief Dr Akmal Saleh and even former Selangor Exco Teng Chang Khim chiming in.

More recently, PAS said they’re ready to hand over the person responsible for the design slip-up, but only if the police officially request it, according to Sinar Harian.

PAS Info Chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari said they’re always open to cooperating with the authorities.

PAS had previously slammed a Chinese paper for the same mistake

Meanwhile, PKR Deputy Info Chief Chua Wei Kiat didn’t hold back, saying PAS’ move to just apologise felt inconsistent, especially since its youth wing had once slammed a local Chinese newspaper for making the same mistake.

He said instead of just apologising, PAS Terengganu should’ve handed over the person responsible to the authorities.

In response, Ahmad Fadhli fired back, taking a jab at Wei Kiat and telling him to brush up on Malaysian law before making such comments.

“We’ve never been closed off. If they ask us to hand the person over, we will with no problem at all. I suggest he learn the law first. We only hand someone over if the police actually ask for it. You can’t just hand people over for fun,” he said.
