KUALA PENYU: A 20-year-old man drowned while fishing at Kampung Batu Linting on Monday afternoon.
The victim was found about 500 metres from the spot where he was first reported missing after rescue teams from the Fire and Rescue Department, police, Civil Defence Force and Health Ministry were deployed to the scene.
He was confirmed dead at the location by a medical officer before his body was handed over to the police for further action, with the operation ending at 3.57pm.
