Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says defeat in the Champions League final last year was good for his players.
A year after defeat to Real Madrid the Reds are European champions and top of the Premier League table.
"It was very unlucky," Klopp told the Liverpool Echo of the 2018 final.
"We were not outplayed or anything like that, it was not like we didn't have chances against Real Madrid who won it before already twice in a row. It was just unlucky for different reasons, so that gave us confidence more than anything else.
"For us it was clear that we were ready to take the next step."
