MANILA, Philippines — Singer-songwriter Zack Tabudlo has responded to accusations of clout-chasing after releasing a song inspired by the budding connection between “Pinoy Big Brother: Collab 3.0” housemates Jeo Ong and Gehlee Dangca.
The OPM artist took to X to defend his decision to write “Tsaka Nalang,” saying the song came from his genuine enjoyment of the pair's sweet moments inside the “Bahay ni Kuya.”
“Broo why cant yall just support ALL artists in general! Also, you’re doing too much. i made a song kasi nakakakilig and nakakatuwa naman talaga sila HAHAHA were all out here making music trying to champion OPM and the PH. ikaw ano ambag mo? its almost 2027 cut the negativity,” Tabudlo wrote.
His response was directed at an X user, @jaezheyi, who suggested that the singer was seeking attention to regain relevance.
“I mean natabunan na sya ng COJ at ni Maki, kailangan nya ulit ng clout to be relevant,” the netizen commented, referring to the popularity of other OPM acts.
Tabudlo's latest single draws inspiration from the chemistry between Dangca and Ong, collectively known among fans as “JeoLee,” whose interactions on the reality television program have attracted viewers' attention.
The singer first hinted at the song's inspiration in a social media post, writing, “kakapanood ko ng pbb nakagawa tuloy ako ng kanta” (Watching PBB made me write a song).
After sharing a snippet of the track on Instagram, Tabudlo received enthusiastic responses from fans, prompting him to complete the song and its mastering overnight.
“Tsaka Nalang” explores unspoken feelings, romantic uncertainty and the idea of waiting for the right moment to express one's emotions, reflecting the slow-burn dynamic that fans have associated with JeoLee.
The track is scheduled for release on Friday, Nov. 6, across major streaming platforms.
Tabudlo rose to prominence in the OPM scene through songs such as “Nangangamba,” “Binibini,” “Pano” and “Give Me Your Forever.” His music often explores romance, heartbreak and the complexities of relationships.
