PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi reportedly complained that the prosecution team in his corruption trial was trying to confuse and trap him with repeated questions on the same issue, NST reports.
The Umno president, who is on trial over the misappropriation of Yayasan Akalbudi funds, was seen agitated when he was bombarded with questions on alleged donations given to the charity foundation.
Zahid reportedly shot back at the Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) Harris Ong Mohd Jeffery Ong when the latter kept pushing him on details about cheques from alleged donors that had been issued to the foundation.
“You are asking me the same question over and over to trap me,” Zahid said.
