KOTA KINABALU: The Coroner’s Court was told that the late Zara Qairina Mahathir was not given Phenytoin when she was admitted to the neurosurgery ward at Queen Elizabeth Hospital on July 16.
Neurosurgeon Dr Pavankumar Balachandran explained that Phenytoin is a drug usually given to brain injury patients to prevent seizures.
He said this in response to a question from lawyer Datuk Ram Singh during Zara’s inquest on Tuesday.
