SIPITANG: The remains of 13-year-old Zara Qairina Mahathir arrived at Tanjung Ubi Muslim Cemetery in Kampung Mesapol at 12.30am on Monday, according to Sabah News.

The burial was completed about half an hour later.

Around 200 people, including family members, had gathered at the cemetery from 6.30pm on Sunday to await her return.

A post-mortem lasting nearly eight hours concluded at about 7.30pm on Sunday before her remains were brought back for reburial.
