A VIRAL video circulating on social media has sparked controversy after showing an individual removing a #JusticeForZara poster during the RXZ Members 7.0 motorcycle gathering at the Gong Badak Sports Complex Motorsport Circuit.
The 40-second clip, widely shared on Facebook, shows a man explaining that he took down the poster under instruction from unnamed authorities.
"I had to take down the #JusticeForZara poster due to certain orders. It’s a very sensitive issue," he says in the video.
"This poster can’t be displayed at the RXZ Members event, so I apologise to everyone. We’ll put it up again later. Whatever it is, #JusticeForZara."
The incident has provoked mixed reactions online, with many criticising the decision and accusing the organisers of prioritising financial or political interests over social solidarity.
Facebook user IkangSeason commented: "Sorry RXZ gang, but after this, don’t expect us to stay silent. #JusticeForZara solidarity is not for sale, not even for RM300k."
The remark references a government allocation announced during the event.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had earlier contributed an additional RM200,000 to the RXZ Members 7.0 programme, bringing the total public and private funding to RM300,000. The announcement was made by the Prime Minister's Senior Political Secretary, Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, during Saturday’s official launch.
Another user, Abdullah Daud, criticised the event's organisers, claiming: "The organisers are just businessmen chasing profit, taking handouts from politicians."
However, others defended the move, suggesting organisers had the right to set rules for the event. One user, Parashorea Tomantella, argued: "It’s the organiser’s right. Just like at SMD 8.0—if you rev your engine, they’ll pull your keys. Follow the organiser’s rules."
The RXZ Members 7.0 gathering, which drew an estimated 150,000 attendees over two days, concluded on Sunday. Organisers have hailed it as the largest and most successful edition to date, despite the controversy. - August 24, 2025
