Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is delighted with the way his team responded to their Premier League disappointment.
City were devastated by their 3-2 defeat against Norwich City at the weekend, which puts them five points behind Liverpool at this early stage of the season.
But Guardiola knows that having a response to setbacks is so important at the top end of the game.
And he was happy with how his team performed in a 3-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League group stages.
Guardiola said to reporters: "All the guys were fantastic. We've started with a good result and a good performance, better than last year, when we lost.
"To start with three points away is so important. It's in our hands to reach the last 16.
"When you win, the manager makes the right decisions, when you lose the wrong decisions.
"We lost one game in eight months and we will not doubt who these players are. It's a joy to be their manager."
