- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced he will ask US mediators to relay Kyiv's offer of an Easter ceasefire to Russia, following the Kremlin's claim of lacking detailed proposals.
- The proposed ceasefire is conditional on Russia ceasing attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, with Ukraine reciprocating by stopping strikes on Russian oil and energy facilities.
- Mr Zelensky is scheduled to convey this proposal during virtual meetings with US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, and Nato Secretary General Mark Rutte.
- Separately, Moscow has warned it will retaliate against European nations that permit Ukraine to use their airspace for drone attacks on Russian targets.
- Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia would respond if other nations allow Ukraine to use their airspace to launch drone attacks on Russian Baltic ports.
