- Ukraine's Air Force reported that Russia targeted Kyiv with ballistic missiles on Sunday, while President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that Russia is preparing to deploy an additional 30,000 North Korean troops.
- Mr Zelensky also warned of expanded Russian mobilisation due to significant battlefield losses, saying that Russia has enlisted 221,000 people this year but suffered 225,500 casualties.
- Russian authorities accused Ukraine of deliberately attacking civilians, reporting 12 people, including five children, were killed in a drone strike on a holiday camp in Russian-held Zaporizhzhia.
- Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev suggested freezing the conflict and resuming negotiations could lead to a peace deal, praising Russian President Vladimir Putin's “utmost diplomatic flexibility”.
- Separately, Iran condemned a Ukrainian attack on one of its commercial vessels in the Caspian Sea, which resulted in one fatality.
