Former Liverpool midfielder Bolo Zenden hopes Cody Gakpo can settle in his favoured position.
The Holland attacker has been played in a variety of roles this season.
Zenden told Goal: "He is someone who works hard and is eager to learn. Still, I've always felt that his best position is left winger. From there he can come in or give crosses. He can easily score fifteen goals and give just as many assists, that's what he's capable of.
Liverpool had many injuries when Gakpo arrived, which is why he was used as a striker. It's not that he did a bad job there, he can also fill that position, he has proven that with the Dutch team. Still, I think his best and most natural position is left winger."
Zenden is confident that Gakpo can possibly be converted from a winger to a striker in the long term.
He reminds me of Thierry Henry, who came to Arsenal and played great as a left winger. One day (Arsene) Wenger puts him in stricter position. You also doubted whether that was his best position, but look where it has taken him."
