PETALING JAYA: Zetrix AI Bhd has ceased to be a substantial shareholder of HeiTech Padu Bhd after its wholly owned subsidiary MY E.G. Capital Sdn Bhd disposed of 27.55 million shares in the information technology services provider.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Friday (Sept 4, 2026), Zetrix AI said the disposal, representing its entire deemed interest in HeiTech Padu, was carried out via a direct business transaction (DBT) on Sept 2.
Following the disposal, Zetrix AI ceased to be a substantial shareholder of HeiTech Padu.
The company’s interest in HeiTech Padu was held through MY E.G. Capital, with Zetrix AI having a deemed interest in the shares pursuant to Section 8(4) of the Companies Act 2016.
The disposal involved 27,545,875 ordinary shares, representing about 16.9% of HeiTech Padu.
Zetrix AI had first emerged as a substantial shareholder of HeiTech Padu through MY E.G. Capital as part of a strategic investment in the company.
Following the latest disposal, founder and executive chairman Wong Thean Soon also ceased to be a substantial shareholder of HeiTech Padu by virtue of his interest in Zetrix AI, although he continues to hold a direct stake in the company.
The cessation notice was dated and received by HeiTech Padu on Sept 4.
Separately, Zetrix AI on Friday also announced the termination of its agreement with Next Lion Ltd to acquire a 50% stake in MYEG Ventures Inc for RM130 million. The company said the agreement was terminated after a review of its commercial rationale due to volatility in the share price of the consideration shares.
Neither party will incur any break fees or penalties following the termination.
