Zwilling recalls electric kettles over burn risk from faulty handles

  • Zwilling J. A. Henckels Aktiengesellschaft has recalled approximately 113,440 Enfinigy 1.5-l and Enfinigy Pro 1.5-l electric kettles in the US, according to a notice from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
  • The recall was issued due to concerns that the kettles' handles could detach or loosen, posing a burn risk from spilling hot contents.
  • The company received five reports of incidents in connection with separated handles, one of which resulted in a second-degree burn. The Safety Commission said there have been 163 reports of the hand grip detaching or loosening.
  • These affected kettles were sold at HomeGoods stores nationwide and online at zwilling.com from December 2019 to February 2026, and at Costco stores between September 2019 and November 2025.
  • Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the recalled kettles, contact Zwilling for a refund, and follow instructions to make the appliance unusable by unplugging and cutting the cord before disposal.
