Schalke explored the prospect of re-signing Arsenal fullback Sead Kolasinac this summer, it has been revealed.
New Schalke coach David Wagner was eager to find a new left-back signing and his search led to former S04 star Kolasinac, says BILD.
The defender welcomed the approach and was keen on a return.
However, it was quickly realised that any move was a non-starter due to Kolasinac's personal demands.
There was no chance of S04 covering the left-back's 6m salary.
