本案原告为田启文，被告为严淑仪。上诉状显示，被告于2023年10月6日下午5时许，在观塘区秀茂坪晓光街近灯柱附近疏忽驾驶一辆私家车，导致原告身体受损并遭受经济损失。原告因而入禀向被告索偿，包含利息及诉讼费等，共计7,796,112港币（约405万令吉）.
