63 floodgates open to release floodwater in east China

All 63 gates of the Sanhe sluice gate at Hongze Lake in Huai'an, east China's Jiangsu Province, opened on Saturday noon to release rising floodwater and ease pressure from upstream flows. The discharge exceeded 5,000 cubic meters per second into the Huai River.
