At a flower processing center in the southwestern Yunnan province, AI-powered machines are taking over one of the floral industry’s most labor-intensive jobs: sorting fresh flowers. The system can sort more than 10,000 stems an hour and assess flower size and quality. Sorting 30,000 flowers, which once required four to five workers and over eight hours, now takes just three to four hours — a prime example of China’s expansion of smart tech in agriculture.
