Back-To-Back Wins Against Anwar Ibrahim: Papagomo Acquited & Discharged. Again

On January 8, 2024, the former UMNO Youth Executive Council member was formally charged under the Sedition Act 1948 for calling Prime Minister Anwar a pro-Israeli and pro-West.

Earlier on September 3, 2025, the learned Judge Siti Aminah acquitted and discharged Wan Muhammad Azri at the conclusion of the prosecution’s case, finding that the prosecution had failed to establish a prima facie case.

Aggrieved by the decision, the prosecutor has filed an appeal before the Kuala Lumpur High Court, which ordered Wan Muhammad Azri to enter his defence.

However, the Klang Sessions Court, on Monday (October 19, 2026) has acquitted political influencer Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris or commonly known as Papagomo for the second time on a charge of making seditious remarks by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to Israel and the West.
