Comment : KL Mayor's New Land Ruling Goes Against 'Rule of Law'

I just read that the Kuala Lumpur (KL) Mayor is attempting to amend the Federal Territory ( Planning ) Act 1982. The public is opposed to this, and once again public outcry is being ignored and, forgive the pun, bulldozed into silence.

This info-vid contains excerpts from the Federal Constitution and government agencies, with regards to the need for proper town planning, public notices and technical assessments. 

Summary :

1. The proposed amendment to the existing law is against 'Rule of Law' in Malaysia which emphasises accountability, transparency & limits on State Power, as a safeguard against tyranny, oppression & dictatorship.

2. It goes against the role and function of the National Land Council, which consists of members of parliament and representatives elected by the YDPA.
