Navagio Shipwreck Beach

Navagio Shipwreck Beach, also known as Shipwreck Cove, is one of Greece’s most famous and photographed beaches, located on the island of Zakynthos. This small cove is renowned for its dramatic setting: a pristine strip of white sand bordered by towering limestone cliffs and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The beach is named after the wreck of the MV Panagiotis, a smuggler ship that ran aground in the 1980s, which now rests on the shore, adding a mysterious charm to the location. Accessible only by boat, visitors can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and capturing panoramic photographs from viewpoints atop the cliffs. Its secluded beauty, combined with striking geological formations and the iconic shipwreck, makes Navagio Beach a must-visit destination for travellers seeking picturesque landscapes and a unique Mediterranean experience in Greece.
