The forty-minute boat ride set the imagination running as we passed wooden houses on raised platforms and watched daily life unfold along the water ways. The market had its own unique style of shopping, lively and full of character. From the moment I arrived, the colourful boats and vibrant atmosphere created a scene unlike anywhere else. I wandered along the canal, watched vendors skilfully paddling, and admired the maze of waterways filled with boats. The boatmen were incredibly skilled at manoeuvring through the narrow branches — truly thrilling to see.
